Special Region of Yogyakarta is located in the Java Island, Indonesia. Among all provinces in Indonesia, Yogyakarta has special title of 'special region' due to it's monarch system.
Yogyakarta still has the active Royal Families, more over the Governor is the King itself, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.
With the exist monarch, Yogyakarta has been through a very long time history and becomes the central of culture and tradition (especially Javanese) also become 'the city of students' due to the numbers of prestige Indonesian universities which located in Yogyakarta City.
Along with the culture and tradition, Yogyakarta city (the capital) was designed with a full meanings of Javanese old tradition which connected the north of Mount Merapi to the south of Javanese South Sea.
This concept is influencing all of the architectural designs in this area from a very long time ago including the location where the Palace was laid.
The "Imaginary Line" is the grand concept which connected all of them. It goes from the north to the south. In the middle of the line, some of landmarks and important building were laid including Sultanate Palace (which also designed in a very Javanese style architecture).
Out of the topic of the city design, Yogyakarta has many architectural spots, i.g Borobudur Temple (Central Java), Prambanan Temple, and many more temples around. Other than that, there are several arts and architecture destination which can be visited to learn and enjoy all of the aspects.
In some cases, we can provide a visit to one of the top universities in Indonesia and under construction project (based on further discussion).
